John W Adams
John W Adams is the Chairman and founder of the Foundation for Law, Justice and Society, and Adjunct Professor in Political Science at Rutgers University.
From 1984 to 2004, John was President of Smith Management Company, a New York based investment firm with investments throughout the world. Previously, he was a Captain in the Judge Advocate General Corps of the US Air Force and thereafter was in private law practice for 12 years. He has a BA from Rutgers College, a JD from Seton Hall Law School, and an LLM from New York University.
In 2001 John was a visiting scholar at Wolfson College and a visiting fellow at the Centre for Socio-Legal Studies, Oxford. He is also a Honorary Fellow of Wolfson College, and chairman of the Kenyon Review Board of Trustees and a member of the Kenyon College Board of Trustees.
